I'm decades past the target demographic, and I didn't expect to like it. I have a few quibbles with it but overall it was entertaining. Looking forward to the movie, because based on the production personnel and the casting it just might end up better than the book. It would have been interesting to see this story told by someone more experienced. It needs to be a bit more gritty and edgier.

If you talk to God you're religious. If God talks to you, you're psychotic.
The notion of picking 1 times of the year to be decent to others is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable SOB finaly.
Your biggest problem...hell I don't know what it is!!! Ask somebody else.

In the midst of his laughter and glee,
He had softly and suddenly vanished away—
For the Snark was a Boojum, you see.

The Rapides Parish Library doesn't have a print copy of the next volume in the series. I may try using its website's "interlibrary loan" link to try and order Shadow Puppets when the time comes.

Shadow Puppets by Orson Scott Card
I couldn't request it online; so my aunt put in the request for me in person.
