I remember years ago I visited my aunt. She told me things has been disappearing in the house and to make sure I keep an eye on my valuables. Well, my thought was it was my cousins making things disappear, not ghosts. Low and behold a pair of my earrings disappeared. So I guess a ghost had a date and needed to borrow them.

Has it ever been proven that spirits can make things disappear? Has anyone had that experience? I'm curious to know if it's true. I've heard of objects being slightly moved but what about taken?

I wouldn't know Naq. So many of my kin believes so strongly in the paranormal. They think ghosts can pick up objects. Crazy.

Unless you're absent-minded like me, I'd think you got a clepto rather then a ghost.

You're joking, right? Nothing concerning spirits has ever been proven, That includes them making things disappear or moving them. Just for the record... someone SAYING that spirits make things disappear is not proof. Someone saying that they read on a website that spirits can make things disappear is not proof. Publishing a website and putting in articles about how spirits can make things disappear is not proof. Anecdotes and assertions are not proof.

You're right, we first have to prove there are ghosts. blink.gif I guess the people who has seen them know they are real. The rest of us are in the dark.

oh yeah? well, what about that scene in the well-known documentary "poltergeist"? when all the lost valuables came through the portal, huh, smarty-pants?

yup. ghosts take stuff. especially old watches.

I do know that lack of ghosts can cause ratings to disappear.

Hey Lizbit! As a kid we all thought the stuff that disappeared was in the attic, in some kinda hoard the ghost had! laugh.gif

Now we have a pixie,
Things will disappear then reappear in the strangest way.
But our stuff always reappeared, did your earrings?

Oh, and if it was an actual pack rat don't they leave something in its place? Lots of animal do love shiny things, just look at empyre!

Hi Tipi!

No, my errings never came back. I think they loved them and wanted to keep them for another dates.

I remember the scene from the movie "Poltergeist" where all the jewelry came falling from the ceiling? What were writers trying to tell us, that ghosts are thieves?
