Hello everyone-
It has taken me a while to get a handle and password, but the nice folks in SciFi's BBoard Department have been very helpful.
I'd like to thank everyone for his or her enthusiastic response to my little contribution to Ron's podcast. It was fun, but I have been very surprised by the response.

As I said, I read the boards every morning with my tea. I am not sure why my divulging that info gives Ron pause, but it will obviously be no secret as I talk to you guys. I read all the boards from Cylon.org to Trek Web to Television without Pity. I read CF, Media Blvd. I find them fascinating. I have found all of the fan attention fascinating ever since Ron took me to Galacticon on one of our early dates, without giving me any back-story at all on the controversy. It was quite an introduction to the fan world. I got hooked.

A couple of rules. Let's keep this civilized. I really don't want to debate whether my husband engages in bestiality, which was once suggested in a post I read somewhere. I am happy to discuss hot topics, but try not to be too insulting. I am not always the best at holding my tongue, and it's probably not best if we all start slinging too much mud around.

I do not, will not and cannot speak for Ron. I can give some insight into his character and to my observations (key word) about the show and his approach to it. But I do not sit in the writer’s room, and I am not one of the producers. I cannot be their official representative.

I’d like to respond to some of the podcast comments from you guys.

It was my idea to come into the room and make the comments about unmuzzling the kids. I live with a man who works ALL THE TIME. It is actually one of the things I love about him. He is very passionate about what he does. He thinks about this show 24 hours a day. He wrote BSG on our honeymoon. And he is often exhausted. So I think it might help if everyone knows that he sometimes misses dinner with us, and locks himself in his office while we tiptoe around and I constantly tell the kids that they can't show Daddy the picture they just drew because he's doing his podcast. And we can't make the garbage trucks stop driving down our street, or the neighbors gardeners stop working. And if he had to go to a soundproof studio to do these podcasts that he makes not a penny for (it's love of show, kids), then they wouldn't probably happen at all. Not trying to be bitchy, just hoping that if everyone knows the reality, they might bring some understanding to the table. And it's my fault that his office is not soundproofed. I'm going for an old school men's club feeling in there, and stapled egg crates just don't work.

Love my new handle you gave me (AryenSun?), Mrs. Ron. Hilarious! We have been married for only a year and a half, so I find it sweet. And as you get to know me, you will see how funny the idea of the little wife actually is.

Ron smokes way too much during those podcasts. It's pretty much the only time he really smokes, except when he's hanging around with James Callis. Together they are out of control. He only started smoking a couple of years ago, which makes it all the more pathetic. He keeps trying to get me to smoke, because he thinks I look sexy when I smoke (I'm an ex smoker who will smoke once in a blue moon).

The cough was dry and unproductive. It is allergy season here and it gets me every year. I apologize for coughing thru the podcast, but my husband said that no one could hear me unless I was right next to the mic. Liar.

Solium- that picture of the cylon taking out the garbage is one of the funniest things we have ever seen. You won't mind our printing and hanging it, will you? But where did you get that pic of Ron. That's not one of his public appearance outfits.

What else? Oh the costumes. I hate and avoided for the 20 years I was a costume designer, military uniforms. Mainly because you had better get it right or someone will get upset. No wiggle room whatsoever. So I can give you no insight there. Glenne Campbell is the current designer on BSG. She is an old friend of mine, we did a couple of movies together in Canada, so I pushed her as the costume designer for BSG and she is doing an amazing job. I acted as consultant during the first season, so I can speak to the civilian clothes, to some degree. It is a hard show for the costume department.

Yes, Ron does look more studly due to my influence. The Hawaiian shirts and pleated khaki's still hang in the back of the closet, in case he gets amnesia, but really, he's 41, not 61. And guys, get hip. His hair is not 70's. Anyone seen the new Ralph Lauren ads- shoulder length and beard is "bohemian". HeHe.

That's all I can think of without going back thru old posts.

Ron’s Favorite Meat Sauce-
Brown about a lb. of ground top sirloin, a diced onion and as much garlic as you can stand.
Add I large can of diced tomatoes and two cans of tomato paste, a can of tomato sauce, a ton of basil and as many red pepper flakes as you can stand. Add a couple of cups of red wine and simmer all day.
You can add whatever veggies float your boat. Mushrooms, zucchini, whatever, Ron likes meat and red.
It's my mom's recipe so I've been making it since I was 8. He can't get enough. (This should generate a zillion posts across the net about what an idiot I am and how manipulative Ron is. Can't wait)
