Great Ep! Loved it!

RDA did a great job acting the transition out of becoming an old man.

Great episode. How can you not love an episode where Richard Dean Anderson is wearing nothing but a sheet?

In an interview, RDA said that about 15 minutes were cut from this episode that showed more of him dealing with getting older. Unfortunately these missing scenes weren't included on the dvd's. It would have been interesting to see those scenes.

Yeah, RDA did more actual acting in season 1 than in later seasons. Later he mostly did heroic stuff and fired off funny one liners. In season 1 they actually explored his character a little.

Yea he did do a good job. This episode should tell all the people who can't wait to grow up, that life is too short so enjoy the moment.

I never knew about that. SG1 DVD's are sometimes rather lean in the extras department. I wish they would include more.

Colonel: From now on, I'm sticking to rations.

------------------------------
Dr. Daniel Jackson: A hundred day celebration? I guess we should pace ourselves.

-------------------------------
Carter: How many babies have you delivered?
Jackson: Uh... two. Counting today.

------------------------------
Jack: I've learned so much from you. I'll treasure every day of my life because of you.
Kynthia: For thousands of days?
Jack: I sure hope so.
Kynthia: That is almost forever.
Jack: Almost.
------------------------------
O'Neill: "Welcome back, kids. It's **** good to see you again. Don't worry. Aside from a little prostate problem we won't go into, it's not so bad."

------------------------------
Jack: C'mon now. Don't keep the elderly waiting, it's rude.
------------------------------

O'Neill: "Do things feel a little...off here?"
Daniel: Are you crazy? It's a paradise!
Jack: Yeah, sure, have an apple, what could happen?
------------------------------

Kynthia: "It is good to see you smile. Tell me, will you live the rest of your days without making love?"
O'Neill: "Oh god, I hope not."

I agree. The dvd's have been lacking in extras. It's a little frustrating to hear about alternative scenes during the commentaries, but they never show those scenes.

I really enjoyed this episode mainly because of RDA's acting and the lovely Bobbie Phillips as Kynthia. This episode also reminds me of the old saying that life is too short, enjoy each day as if it were your last. Teal'c raising the one eyebrow at the end when Jack mentioned retiring to Florida to play shuffleboard with the boys was quite humorous as well. Good episode, I give it a B+.
