Second season with Bergman would have been much different and profoundly better than what actually aired. The addition of Maya never bothered me as "science officer, per se"; the crappy monster costumes into which she morphed really dumbed down the series (even for me at 10 y/o). Read Morse's book - it's sweet. Apparently a lot of Morse was in Bergman.

I liked most of the cast and my favorite was Mya a girl who can be anybody or anything is pretty cool when your 10yrs old

Oh my god this is very easy! Maya!
I watched this show while I was growing up and it was a fantasy of mine to shapeshift so of course I thought Maya was way cool. And she was pretty too

Barry Morse was my favorite, the show went down hill with Tony and Maya love fest. Leave it to the americans to destroy a good Brit Show.
