new page!!!!!!

Confessions
There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, and the sea is asleep, and the rivers dream. People made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, somewhere else the tea's getting cold. Come on, Ace; we've got work to do!

Cool!
(I think your title beats all but -)

I was so sure there would be a new page today, and so disappointed that I was wrong - but then you found it and
suddenly it's showtime!

To outright steal from the comments yesterday:

My name is Rio and my head is like a bucket packed with sand

(I had some witty comments of my own to try, but was afraid that would be splaving.)

Splaving? Uncool as it is to admit I don't understand the word, I must request clarification. Please. Posted Image

I have no idea. All I know is that when I went to post a comment on Rich's comix, the security words for posting appeared below in large wavy letters "avoid splaving" - looking like your typical unearthly warning in the first chapter of a supernatural story.

I decided to take no chances.

Rats! It's too bad they weren't at the top of the stairs. She could have given Mel a nice shove. I would have been very amused.
(In case you haven't noticed, I'm not a fan of Mel)

She really didn't scream more than others in the same situation (damsel in distress) at the time. I remember people going on about how much she screamed in the first Sylvester ep - but the native girl in the same trap screamed just as much. She just didn't live long enough for anyone to scold her.

I think Rich is trying to keep Mel the same, in spirit, of what they were aiming for in the show - while she was famous for her screaming, she was also the companion that stood up to Collin the most - taking charge of things for his own good. (In the TV show that is - he met a much better match in the audio show, when he ended up with a historian professor on board. Evelyn brooked no nonsense! And then there was her chocolate cake, when he needed sweeteningPosted Image.)

But, for all that, I suspect Jenny up there has foretold the reaction we're expecting.

It was less about how much Mel screamed, than the way she screamed. She was rather shrill.

Also there's that one episode that ends with Mel screaming, and CB suggested to Bonnie that she scream at the same pitch as the opening note of the Doctor Who theme, so you go from her screaming at that note, to that note being played, and it made for a rather freaky effect.

lol- sounds pretty funny.

I never saw much difference in the two girls screaming - but as I'm not a big fan of any of the Mel and Collin eps, I'm not a connoisseur of what screamer could be more unsettling. Posted Image

I don't really think Mel was that much of a screamer, I was going for a funny title.

Now I'm all worried I might have inadvertently splaved at some point in the past. Oh, dear, oh me, oh, my.

Wait a moment...I'm having an idea! Is it connected with The Princess Bride? To splave? Not that I remember what it means, but did the wizard claim Wesley said it when what he said instead was 'True love?' When Wesley was mostly dead after the torture? and Wizard Max was lying about what Wesley was groaning? Sheesh, it's been a long time since I last saw that film.

Someone, anyone? I don't have the DVD. Help!

This story isn't as much fun as the others have been. Wonder how long it will be?
