It's a sad day, but Kevin Smith will direct a BSG episode. I'd like to see James Cameron handle an episode. He can do these human interest stories in strange settings very well.

It's not a sad day. I bet he does a good job. Who would I really like to see direct an episode? David Lynch.

Did I just mispell Moore???

No, this will be his first time. He has had studios offer him directing gigs on movies but he thought that seemed insane considering he had never directed.

It's Sunday, and the board is slow. Maybe this thread won't get trashed.

He's very excited about it.

James Cameron would be cool because I did love DARKANGEL. I want JOSS WHEDON to write an episode for BSG...and I am still on a high over KEVIN SMITH!!! I have always believed that writers who are FANS bring the most to the story.

More info please?

Did our Imperious Leader have other chance to direct personally? And if yes, can you signal?I'll be curious to see his work...

JJ Abrams of Lost would be great too. He seems to know how to create interesting characters in a fantastic setting.

Hmmm, other than me? I would like to see EJO direct some more eps this season and I LOVE that Kevin Smith is doing one. Jon Cassar from 24 is one of my favs. How about someone really off the wall like Guy Ritchie?

Well, he can direct any episode of the show that he wants.
I was refering to features.

Do you mean which episode will he direct? I don't know the number. It's in the back half of the season. He wouldn't direct the finale because there will be too much producing and writing.

It's not a sad day. I bet he does a good job. Who would I really like to see direct an episode? David Lynch.

I bet Lynch would have a field day with Head Six, Head Baltar, The Temple of Five, Roslin/Caprica/Athena visions, The Oracles, Kara and Leoben/Not Leoben... smile.gif

Other famous and probably not very likely candidates:

David Fincher. He would make it very, very dark and claustrophobic enough to make everything we've seen so far like "The Sound Of Music" in comparison. tongue.gif

David Cronenberg. He could direct an episode with a lot of Cylon baseship scenes, I bet he's be interested in the Hybrid. Just imagine how those people who thought there was S&M in AMOS would react when Cronenberg gives them a REALLY sick, twisted, perverted, violent psycho-horror episode!!! cool.gif

As to who could realistically direct... EJO could direct more episodes, he did a great job with "Taking a Break From All Your Worries".

How he feels at the camera?Does he prefer fluid movements or more steady?Which is the director he admires his/her shooting style?

Anyone but David Milch. I never though anyone would outdo Lynch in the "batshit crazy" category until I saw John From Cincinnati. Which I love but I have no ******* clue whats going on.

eta- Atom Egyon. He's Canadian and he's warped, so that's a plus. His tone would be perfect for BSG. All his movies make me so depressed, just like BSG S3!

Joss Whedon, I'd love to see Joss come in an direct an episode.

Congrats to Ron's directing debut, will be very interesting to see his touch on the show in that perspective. Any idea who wrote the episode he will be directing?
