Hey thanks restless biggrin.gif

Guys,

I'm about 10 comments / ratings or 15 favourites away from getting a youtube honor...that means more people would get to see BSG...those that wouldn't normally type "Battlestar Galactica" in the search box will see it in the top rated videos for the day. More exposure for BSG the better.

The last time one of my videos got honored, it got onto E! Online and lots of people who know nothing of BSG got their first taste. I want people to see what a dark, twisted and awesome show BSG is so they can tune in.

I am aware that your selection of music has others in a fit because it is looped.

Might I make a suggestion.?

Age Of Wonders
or some such similar
I believe these are all composed by Michiel van den Bos

Love and Death
Races at War
Defenders

Outnumbered
Peacefully Deceptive

in the line-up. going from "Defenders" to "Company" makes for an interesting mix.

Why would people be in a fit over looped music?

I actually bought the CD the other day, because I liked the music so much.

So thanks FL for the introduction & Prime for the identification. wink.gif

I really like this music, right up my street...but I don't think any of the are strong enough to hold a video by themselves. They would work for a bit of mixing and ambience. You need a tune with real depth and gravity to make the video pop if you know what I mean. Keep the suggestions coming...the hardest part for me is not making the video it's finding the right music to inspire me.

P.S. I couldn't get the elve track to work, but I know that song anyway smile.gif

Hey no worries biggrin.gif

I have a thing about looped music, there's one criticism I get time and time again on some of my videos and that is that the music is too repetitive. While I think I got away with it on this video, some of my other work suffered because of my lack of musical imagination.

Hmm, it has been a year since I last put together a video - Captain's Hand - The End from s2

I might have a go this week with an s3 vid from the opening four episodes.

Now where did I put those s3 DVDs...?

Thanks FreelancerXO02, I'll take a look through your vids later.

Not sure what music to use for my new vid, something orchestral maybe...

Gotta rip the eps first, I'll see if I can get something posted by the weekend.

How's the UK? It's wet and cold in Brussels.

Skiffy here has decided that they will only allow ".mp3 uploads ...

So, I changed the file name.

You must rename it
from ... "Company.mp3"
to ... "Company.S3M"

then it plays just fine.

Yeah I like the orchestral ones...esp if I'm doing a trailer type video.

England is fine, very warm.

Hoping some of these would allow you to avoid the repetition of the looping (which doesnt bother me at all) and respark those memory ingrams.

Anyways .... it is just a suggestion cause there are lots of Game Mods out there that are especially long. There is a nearly twenty-three minute long song from "Diablo", I think which is why I included that link. It was divided up into five parts.

from the expansion pack
Diablo

Diablo II - Lord Of Destruction Original Soundtrack

Fortress
Halls
Ancients
Siege
Ice

total runtime 22:46

Liner Notes by Matt Uelmen
http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/mp3/lod.shtml

Mp3's found here
http://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundt...inal-soundtrack

I'll enjoy, as always, what you put up.

Another suggestion ...

in the background at key places only ... just barely perceptible ...

"Kryptor Kryptor Kryptor"

"Launch Alert One"

"It's the end of the world"

"Action Stations"

and for good measure --- barely perceptible

"By Your ........."

etc., etc.

maybe some indistinguisable radio chatter as can be heard sometimes in the WWII flicks... but just barely perceptible.
