I know how you feel , generally I am a Steven King fan but this wouldnt hold my attention for 5 minutes , it was that boring.

I read Stephen King books, but this was alittle too slow compared to everything else

Yeah I was excited thinking about Lars Von Trier series coming to the US but also paranoid about how it would turn out since King stuff has
a really bad record on TV and film. This was just flat. It went nowhere. The big mistake was using the director they used on some other King stuff which was also dead.

Dislike King, dislike this series. It's really a strange adaptation that bears only a little resemblance to the Denmark miniseries. The original was extremely bizarre, at times pretty funny, and terribly atmospheric.
In the adaptation, it feels like King was so compelled to spin this series into his own thing. Which sometimes is fine, you might as well have called Stanley Kubrick's version of The Shining as his own. But at least Kubrick was humble enough to keep the original characters. King decided to King-ize this series and replace old characters with his own, and add plotlines not found in the original. It's just all a big mess really.

I thought it was okay. Or at least, that is the impression it left me. I wasn't much of a King fan and KH did not change that. I have heard that the orginal series is much better than this one. Well, at least it had a anteater o' doom. Not so crazy about his human form though.

I remember watching some of the episodes when they aired. I remember being rather confused about what was going on. I mean, I got some of the idea, but some of the other stuff was confusing. The show was just kinda weird in general. I also didn't really get into the characters. All in all, I'm glad they canceled it.

Of course it was going to be terrible. Stephen King can't do Lars Van Trier. Just can't happen. They're in two very different leagues. Stephen King writes decent scary books, and Lars Van Trier makes some of the best movies of all time. I wasn't a huge fan of The Kingdom, the 2 episode series that Kingdom Hospital is poorly based on, but it was still good. Tacking Stephen King's name on to the title was pretty awful, as well. That just made it look like he created it. Which is a load of *****.
