Hey everyone. So far the only folks that I know who are going to Comic Con to see the BG panels are me: Rictorious, Mexichick, MRMforce (Rebelscum) and Jeditricks (Sirstevesguide). There has got to be more of us going. We need to plan a meet up! I'll be wearing my HERO JAKE T-SHIRT.

Thursday July 24, Bear McCreary is appearing on the Battlestar Galactica 30th Anniversary Panel (11:15 - 12:15, Room 6B), hosted by original Apollo / Tom Zarek himself, Richard Hatch! The panel will also include Tom DeSanto and science advisor Kevin Grazier. If you haven’t been to any of the recent Comic Con panels, you should definitely check it out. Richard has some great footage to show, and we may screen some selections from his recent Music of Battlestar Galactica documentary. Also, Bear is

Bear had this to say:
And stick around until Sunday night, July 27th. I will perform at an exclusive double-bill concert, featuring the Singers of Battlestar Galactica. I’m playing with Raya Yarbrough and Brendan McCreary, in two sets of their own original material. These artists frequently sing on my scores, but you can’t truly appreciate their talent until you’ve heard them perform their original songs (although, I wouldn’t be surprised if a few Galactica songs popped up in there as well… perhaps a Dylan cover?). Other Galactica musicians, such as violin maestro Paul Cartwright and guitarist Steve Bartek will also share the stage. And we’ll have some surprise Galactica guests as well!

Here is the good stuff:
SATURDAY - 2:15-3:15 Battlestar Galactica— Last year, Battlestar Galactica took San Diego by storm. Now the best show on television returns to Comic-Con for a panel filled with excitement, laughter, and a sneak peek into the final revelation. Focusing on the character relationships that give this hit series its power, this exclusive panel sheds new light on the ties between Humans and Cylons and provides valuable insight into the adventure ahead. Panelists include cast members Tricia Helfer, James Callis, Michael Trucco, and Katee Sackhoff and executive producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick, along with moderator Kevin Smith. Ballroom 20

hi i soooooooooooooooooooooo sooooooooooo sooooooooooooooo envy you guys who are going to the convention , it's high up on my list of things to do if i ever ever get to leave my tiny tiny little island in the sun...
it's my dream to go to a convention ,any one i dont care , just being in a place where people are the same as you and openly speak and enjoy your show,it's must be the bomb and a great human experience...
i've only seen some bits on tv on starwars or star trek..and some bits from farscape and the actors seem to genuinely like been there exchanging with fans who are as passionate about their job as they are....ah la la la some day some day , i will go to one and let my inner-geek come out!

WELL DO ENJOY YOURSELF FOR ALL OF US WHO CANT GO AND LET US KNOW HOW IT WENT! THANKS A LOT!!!

one wistful fan longing to fullfill her dreams...

ps: today i finish watching season3 of BSG, i spent the whole week whenever i had time watching from the mini till now , had load of questions didnt write any down but will next trip i watch it (so happy i've got my boxset)

Going all 4 days, plus the concert. So much to do, so little time. I'm sure I'll run into some of you at the panels.

I'm completely disappointed this year, because I won't be making it to Comic-Con for the first time in 4 years. I recently moved out of San Diego , to another State, and couldn't really come up with the Extra cash to fly out there, get a hotel, etc. sad.gif

Oh well. Hopefully next year I will return!!!

What is anyone's strategy for making sure they get into the BSG panel on Saturday?

I will be there. My strategy is to sit outside Ballroom 20 until it opens. Which kinda sucks because it use to be that TV shows were all in the Ballroom but Lost is now in Hall H. I would like to go to Hall H first and then leave for Ballroom 20 but it seems risky. Any suggestions or advice would be so much welcomed.

Thurs. and Fri. we are staying all day in Hall H. Gotta see Gerard Butler.

I'll tell you what happened to me last year. I arrived at the Ballroom for the BSG panel two hours early. The line to get in already snaked all the way around the con center and it just kept growing and growing. They said at one point there was 3,000 in line for the ballroom. (which I believe holds 6,500 people) Since they do not clear the Ballroom between panels, the only way people outside in line can get in, is if people leave. I would say about 500 people left. You do the math. wink.gif I never got in b/c there were at least 1,000 people ahead of me. So this year, I am going to be at the Con Center before it opens and hopefully get in line for the Ballroom at 9:30. That's the plan anyway.

Yeah, last year was crazy. The difference this year is that the Heroes panel and the Battlestar panel are in different rooms this year. It's going to make it easier to find a seat maybe. For me, I want to go to both panels, so I'll try my luck finding a seat at the battlestar panel unless someone who isnt going to heroes saves me a seat wink.gif

Hey all,

I'm going all 4 days, too!

I'm at a loss as to how to be in Hall H and Ballroom 20 almost simultaneously ;-) Astral projection... I don't know. Last year was *crazy* in Ballroom 20, though, so I guess I 'll be there saving my seat for BSG (since it wins over Heroes and Lost).

Anyway, see you all there!

Last year we were in the line for Ballroom 20 first thing in the morning. This time I'm not so into watching Futurama or the Simpsons. But I don't want to miss a chance to see James Callis. In 2006 when I was taping Gerard Butler at the autograph booth James walks up and stands right next to me!! And I didn't recognize him because he had the beard that we hadn't seen yet (I actually thought he seemed like a homeless person tongue.gif ). Well, Gerry's manager (who is gay) says "OMG you've changed your hair" and I thought it would get personal so I turned off my camera. Then my Mom starts screaming across the room and rushing over to me saying "Ember, there's Jamie Bamber" (she actually does watch the show was just confused on the name). You all know how it is there, I couldn't hear her until she was right there next to me.
Too late.

But I do have some footage of him hugging Gerard because I started taping again when they got up to leave. Both of them disappeared into the crowd.

And during the panel my Mom was sitting right next to Romo and didn't realize it till he stood up and went on the stage. We are going to have eagle eyes this time.

Me and Michael are here sitting in line for the preview nite to open - here is a pic:

Michael is sitting and looks less than thrilled and I'm the guy kneeling next to him.

I can't wait to meet some of you! It's gonna be a blast!

Mike and I arrived early and are in the first group of people to go in. We have never been this close before to the front!

The is what is in front of us... not too bad.

Wow, Ric, you are HARDCORE!

We won't be there till about 2pm tomorrow.

So, should we use this thread to post all our pix from CC, since it's already pinned? Maybe you could add that to the thread title.
