First of all, I'm not bashing the show. I love stargate! but I noticed that there are striking similarities to all three stargate series and star trek for example: the original series SG-1 was really a show asbout exploration find strange new worlds and meeting new species. sound familliar? next generation I belive. then in atlantis the show takes place in a city although once in awhile the heroes go offworld. kinda reminds me of deep space nine. then there's galaxies where a team of explorers get lost in space and try to find they're way home. ( I don't think I have to explain which star trek series this is supposed to represent.) was stargates's creators purposely trying to make their plots reflect of of star trek's or is it one big coincidence?
