Stargate Characters That Have Died Rating Options

Beware Of Spoilers In This Thread!!!!


Was trying to remember all the main and re occurring characters that have passed on...

Major Charles Kawalsky -Taken host by Goa'uld. Ultimately died when head was half in and out of the stargate and it was shut down.


Gen Hammond - Heart Attack


Jacob/Selmac -Oldest Tok'ra died of old age and Jacob died with Selmac.


Dr.Janet Fraiser - Killed tending to a wounded man in the field.


Martouff/Lantash - Died after being "brainwashed" by apophis to kill the President and the Tok'ra High Council President.He was shot by SGC Security.


The Tollan/Narim/Travell - The Tollan were wiped out by Anubis when they failed to deliver new weapons they made using their phase shift technology after their Ion cannons were no longer useful against Anubis' Ancient knowledge created sheilds. Also, the curia tried to double cross the Tauri.


The Asgard/Thor- The Asgard all died collectively in a sucessful attempt to destroy an Ori Ship.
They were also running out of time and couldn't clone themselves anylonger


The Abydonians/ Skaara/ Kasuf/ Sha're -The Abydonains /Kasuf died and were ascended by Oma Desala when Anubis destroyed the surface of the planet with his main weapon.

Skaara - Died helping SG1 fend off Anubis' Jaffa and was also Ascended by Oma Desala.


Sha're - ultimately died when Teal'c fired his staff weapon at her while her Goa'uld Amonet was trying to kill Daniel.


Kasuf -presumed dead when Anubis destroyed Abydos


Gerak - Sacrificed himself to save earth


Lieutenant Elliot/ Lantash -Sacrificed themselves to save SG1 (Last Stand)



Kendra -Killed on cimmera by Goa'uld


Drey'auc- Teal'cs wife -died from lack of a new symbiote implant


Col. Lionel Pendergast -Killed on board the Prometheus when it was destroyed



Col. Emerson -Shot by hijackers on board the Odyssey



Katherine Langford -Old age


Senator Kinsey -Blown up in spaceship after having Goa'uld put in him


Col. Frank Simmons -Sucked into outer space with Adrian Conrad Goa'uld in him



Aside from Daniel who dies like I change socks, did I miss anyone?

Otherwise your list looks fairly complete.

I would really have to scratch my brain to come up with anyone else.

The have pretty much all died at least once, but I assume you mean relatively permanent deaths

In that case what about

Joe Faxon- Married to Sam in an alternate timeline. In our timeline he sacrificed himself to allow Sam to escape through the Stargate from the planet Volia, so she coud warn the SGC of the Aschen bioweapon in time.

I guess he's just presumed dead since we didn't see the Aschen actually kill him.

Speaking of Crystal Skull, we should perhaps include Daniel's nurdy assistant, Dr. Robert Rothman who was killed off in The First Ones episode.

Did General Hammond Die? I know Don S. Davis the actor died of heart failure not long ago. I don't remember the character having died though. Did I miss something?

In the SGÅ series finale, Col Carter told Col Sheppard that her next assignment was taking command of the General Hammond and Col Sheppard said he had heard about that and Col Sam said it was a heart attack.

Carter reports in the final Stargate Atlantis episode that Hammond recently died from a heart attack and that the Daedalus-class ship Phoenix is to be re-named the General Hammond in his honor.

OK Cool, Thanks. I actually haven't watched any SGA other then a very occasional ep on skiffy. I don't watch it much because I didn't begin at the series start and I dislike jumping into a story in the middle. I have it in netflix cue. I 'll get to work on it soon!

I liked him and it was sad they killed him after three appearances.
He was also Daniels replacement in Forever In A Day.

If other quantum realities are taken into account, hasn't the Earth been destroyed many times? Also, in at least one alternate reality, Sam was married to Col. O'Neil and he was killed defending Earth soon before the alternate Sam arrived in "this" reality.
What happened to the Nox? I think last year someone mentioned that something happened to them, but I don't know if they died or what.

How about Orlin? Was Orlin an ascended being from the beginning, or did he have to die to be ascended the first time? I don't remember if that was stated. Then, he became a mortal again, and, at the end of the episode, was shot and was ascended again. We probably don't know if he actually died or not, but I think that even though the Ascended gave him another chance, he probably had to die first. Then, of course, in another episode he came back as an eight year old child to work on weapons to destroy the Ori. I'm not sure how he ended. I think he was still alive but had none of the memories of having been ascended, or possessing all that power and knowledge, but I don't remember what they said about him.

In the "regular" Stargate reality, couldn't a case be made for Col. O'Neil dieing, and not only dieing, but dieing more times than anyone else in the series? All of this occurred in one episode. It was the one were Baal tortured O'Neil by killing him and then, before it was too late to bring him back, using the sarcophagus to bring him back to life.

Thoughts? Opinions? I would like to know what people think about these things.

Yep, you're right on O'Neill but since the series died, I don't think you're going to get much response to that.

Yeah All of SG1 died when Apophis blasted them with the staff weapon and the Nox brought them back and O'neill died repeatedly when Baal tortured him.And Daniel dies if someone sneezes in his direction.
