The sex scenes are not really filthy just done in poor taste and they don't advance the story line but they do creat drama of the 90210 kind.
are never used as a sign of Respect or Affection
but instead are used to Diminish and Ridicule
those who have a gift they share with the world.
Yes i'm not normal - Deal with it

There's a lot of science fiction books and novel out there that has sex as a part of the story and some have a lot of sex in them so you can't said sci-fi shouldn't have sex in them, sometime the sex helps to tell the story and lets you understand the charactors.
What unbelievable destructive power.

Yes there are books out there with sex in it, e.g. the Gap series, but it wasn't wall to wall sex.
IMO good SciFi can have sex, (no, not in your face sex) but it should be proportionate to the Science,,,,,let's say 5 % sex and at least 80% science?
SGU has 1% science, and up till now 50% sex, totally a soap opera LOL

Wall to wall sex?! it's not like there's sex in every episode there may be sex in some epi or scenes, I don't think it's bad but you will find some people who will think that there should be not sex in sci-fi show. I think may be they are fans of the older type of sci-fi show which had no sex or the sence of sex in them that's why they are upset about the sex scenes,
Or is because I'm toonami kid and I repersent the toonami genaration so that's why I am o.k with the sex.
What unbelievable destructive power.

I always find it strange when people are NOT offended by death and violence, but ARE offended by nudity and sex. What's wrong with this picture?
Sex is part of humanity. We wouldn't be here without it. Where ever humans go they will be having sex and relationships. That's just the way humans are built.
Anyway, there hasn't been much sex on Universe. It's not like it's Barbarella up there on the Destiny. lol.
I say bring on the sex. And a few shirtless men wouldn't hurt either.

I agree. Shirtless men I don't know about.
I can't whate to see the girl on girl action, now that's when you are gonna see people start to come out of the wood work.

I am much more preoccupied by Greer being given police missions (searching rooms in Water) on this show, instead of being kept in jail himself.
I find that highly immoral and I don't want children to consider this violence on civilians as anecdotal. No, not with what's happening in the world now.
I would not mind more sex in SGU, if only it made sense with the basic principle of being exiled in a spaceship. For example if it did not take place on Earth. And if it was less like reality show voyeurism.

Well you best not be watching BSG The Plan, it's got nakid titties..... eeek!
Christ there should be more sex in Sci Fi, I would have thought that the scene just before they were going to fly into the star everyone would be doing it like rabbits, but I guess the reality is what they showed, people playing cards and praying.

Ew. See, random people having sex on the internet is boring. I want to know the characters and learn about their relationships and that includes sex and I want it in a sci fi environment with giant rings that take you to other planets.
When you think about it the Stargate is a giant metaphor for sex anyway.

I keep wondering why Greer is running around free as well.
I don't mind the immorality in the show. It makes it interesting. If parents let their kids watch shows that have people doing immoral things in them, then they should explain to their children that what the characters are doing is wrong. It's not up to TV shows to teach morals. It's up to TV shows to entertain.
That's the way I look at it.

The sex is ok, if it's story related, but it isn't here it's just a way to make it more dark, and dramatic, it is porly made, and yes there is sex i many scifi books, but the best books I have readen it was't nessesary to actually read about it, it was just imply that there was something going on between to people, i'm from Danmark and we don't have a censord system like the US, so we are quite use to se this things, but this was just badly made, and really out of contekst, I think they have set a new low for scifi wieth this show, and they call it Stargate.........
