I've been trying to find out who the artist is but nobody seems to know anything other than Peter Luke Adams and Erik Kertes. Is that right? And if it is what's the name of the song?

I saw where it was said the artist is Trey Lockerbie, but that it hasn't been released just yet. Hope this helps.

The song is called "People Like Me", and I saw a post on Yahoo! Answers by one of the writers last year, saying that due to the popularity of the song, they are currently working on a full version, that should be released soon. And for the record, I created this account for the sole purpose of answering this question!

Alright, i did some more digging on Trey Lockerbie's Facebook page, and found out that the full song was in fact finished late last year, but NBC owns all of the rights to it. So in other words, they can't release it to the public without NBC's permission, which means we're gonna have to start bugging the hell out of them for it! Everyone, spam their email! If we keep leaning on their doorbell, they'll give in!

I like the the soundcloud version, very clean. Still hope they release the full version of this song, I'm interested to see if the lyrics tell a story when complete.

Guess I should have pointed this out in my previous post, as I became aware of all this and such around the same time.

Everyone's kind of 'right' I suppose. The original song is apparently sung by Trey Lockerbie who has other work on iTunes. The iTunes "Alphas Theme" that is by D. Hauser is not the same as the SoundCloud or SyFy channel tune. Different vocalist, sings a different way. You can listen to the entire thing on iTunes for free since their previews usually run for over a minute. A bunch of people are quite upset by the change and the fact that it cost them a dollar.

Try before you buy... I like the SoundCloud/original better myself, as well.
