i think the same thing happened to william shatner in star trek 1.Benicio del Toro was supposed to play a young Kahn, but he demanded too much money for his appearance, so JJ fired him.

I never said I didn't like the reboot. I said I wasn't impressed. I expected to see a drama. That's what Star Trek is. Instead, I saw a comedy. Even when it was supposed to be 'dramatic' they made it funny (I got your gun).
I spent more time laughing, and none 'on the edge of my seat'. All good if you advertise your movie as a comedy. But they didn't. Instead, they advertised it as a drama (like all Trek) and instead gave an hour and a half of comedy.
Best of luck to JJ on this one.

Damn, now I have to see it. Star Wars sequel hires hot British actor.
That would be Star "Trek", I'm sure that was a typo..
Anyways, I feel like the new "Star Trek 2" has to do 2 things: 1) Stay fresh and exciting, don't worry about what Trek used to be follow it's own path. 2) This actually pertains to #1, do not bring back William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy or anybody else for that matter, the past is the past now, carve your own future.

Star Trek 2 movie was even more greatly expected than the first. Hesitantly, I went to see it. I was pleasingly surprised. I have also played this game. It is best online game that I have played.
How were you able to see it when they haven't even started to film it yet?
We're discussing the JJ Abrams Star Trek btw.
