Was anyone else out there disappointed by the unbelievable shift in Captain Hook`s characterization during the second half of the series? He pulls the cliche " I was evil all along" stunt. I think the writer was going for a plot twist . However it just seemed unreal to me. It`s hard to believe that Hook would go from fighting to protect Peter and the lost boys to wanting to kill Peter himself. Having him be drawn to the lady pirate and lust for riches thus causing his descent into darkness would have worked. I was hoping Hook would remain a multi- dimensional character like he was in the first half. At the start, he was a conflicted and even sympathetic character at times. I actually liked Hook. This was a first. Then his characterization went all over the place in the second part. The only really good thing about it was the emotions this evoked in Peter.
