I am actually looking forward to seeing this one.
We have a great number of abandoned mines and stories to go with them in our area.
I don't think Tommy Knockers are Ghosts... do you think they are over simplifying to expand the interest?

I consider it a cultural indoctrination; its like there are only four things people really hear about anymore

Ghosts, Aliens, Bigfoot, and lake monsters.

its like when Ghost Hunters international claimed to look for a Banshee and called it a ghost (even though its technically a faerie). A headless spectre riding a horse in the country side would once be called a Dullahan rather than a spirit.

Alot of what we consider poltergeist activity was once attributed to sprites and pixies (among other things like Bogles) playing pranks.

These days we just shove them all into the catagory of dead people or "inhuman" haunts. Although it is kind of nice that some of these ghost hunters are starting to think twice about the idea of elementals which are neither deadpeople nor malevolent by nature.

Although I am a bit lost on the premise here, is this show going into active mines or abandoned mines? It sounds like there are ghost hunting teams going into active mines with gold hunters.

This just sounds like South Park bit to me.

I just hear their voices when I read this:

Watch what happens when a team of determined miners joins forces with two fearless paranormal investigators to hunt for ghosts and gold in all the wrong places.

Nevertheless, I'll check it out.

Maybe the Tommy Knockers will show them where the pay streaks are at.

First ep seems very staged. Hope they actually find some gold.

Hello Admin1...it's been a long time! MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Do we really need yet another paranormal show? What's next? Ghost Used Car Dealerships? Haunted Produce Stores? Paranormal Pet Stores?

I'm not always right but I am never wrong.

The above posts are my opinions.

At least not one so bottlenecked as following actual miners in an active mine.

I'd think abandoned mines would be more likely to become residence for old school cave dwelling horrors.

Of course they would have a sultry red-headed babe investigator out in the middle of nowhere with a half a dozen lonely miner dudes... the casting was curious at best... then to find out that women, especially redheads and mines dont mix...as legend has it...
A spinoff of other goofy shows only with the paranormal spliced in...

Agree with nypdretired above post...

Dave Howe and Bonnie Hammer have made SYFY what it is today...In some countries that's enough to warrant life in prison!

Waiting for Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daffny and Velma to pull up to the mine in the Mystery Machine looking for the Miner 49er.

Hope to get my 2 threads back (ep 2 and 3) once the Spam advertising posts get deleted.

Cheers, in case anyone was wondering where they went, I think.

Ya, a joker of a new member put a post up on each thread with only links (like 5 of em) to some clothing lines or some such. Hit the Report button on both. Saw sifiadmin1 come on and instead of just deleteing the posts both threads were zapped.

I'll see if I can repost em Wed morning after work.

Cheers, BUT NOT to new member spammers, LOL

Never interacted with her as of yet, the 2nd ep had 2 pages of posts (I think about 600 hits or so), mostly mine as I watchied it. I'd say not as good as the first ep comments, as it was not as "funny", so to speak.

Ep 3 just had the basic post plus a couple more, as I hav'nt seen it yet. It just seems strange to delete a whole thread and not just the offending post that I "reported", oh well, I tried again as you can see.

Cheers

Tom
