Do you like Tamsin? Do you trust her? Do you distrust all Dark Fae?

I wouldn't trust ANY fae. Light just sounds nicer but they are still mostly human eating, human enslaving, monsters, they just use all the parts of the bison instead of just shooting it and taking only the meat.

as the Valkyrie is basically a grimreaper of battlefields, I will assume the bad thing in Tamsin's life has to do with relationships and people getting close to her being in mortal peril.

Being dark or light doesn't mean anything, there are morally grey fae on both sides

The whole Light/Dark thing is a joke anyway. The only real difference between them is the Dark tend not to hide their disdain for humans and the fact many of them prey on them.

One thing though. Not trusting ANY Fae means not trusting Bo either.

Yes, its not like she doesn't have a line of dead bodies in her wake.

Granted I don't want to sound like Dean from "Supernatural" who would make it a point to try and kill her regardless of her intent, just because she is a none-human and has killed before.

Lack of control still makes it manslaughter, and given that she clearly has a powerful darkside under the surface, it would be one thing to like her, another to keep that in mind and retain a respectful distance,.

thing is though, I don't trust humans either, or dogs, or most things for that matter. Doesn't mean I can't like them, live with them, and learn to deal with them.

Yeah, I don't think you can really "trust" any of the fae characters.

In answer to your other question, I'm finding the character very, very annoying. Too forced, and she just doesn't have anything likeable enough to balance out the obnoxious "I'm A Badass!" signposts.

Not even a little bit of love? She is the main impetus for getting Dyson out of his brooding funk and moving on from Bo and sweet holy ***** was that ever overdue. No other character has helped improve the Dyson character this much in a very long time and for that I will be ever grateful to Tamsin.

There is that, he is a lot more fun all of a sudden. But by herself, she'd be a chore.

By herself yes, thats why Im pulling for the Dyson/Tamsin pairing. They have the makings of a very fun pair. And if Dysin can placate even a few Dybo fans with the fact they will still get to see KHR with his shirt off. Thus, maybe make possible a thaw in the cold war between the shippers then I am all for that.

I like her. I don't know if I like her attitude with Dyson but hopefully that attitude will change as they work together more.
She wants to get Bo for murdering some dark fae, but that story line seems to have disappeared or I missed something.
I'm still waiting on them to show her do something related to her valkry powers, that has to be awesome.

It hasn't dissappeared, just put on the back burner. If you watch the preview for ep 3.05 you'll see that Tamz has most certainly not forgotten...or forgiven.

lead boomerang of death not good enough for the Nordic warrior maiden? Now if they make her fly too it would be complete.

I did like that part, but it seems to me something Kenzi or Bo would be capable of, seeing as how they used to always be playing around with lots of weapons.

I guess what I mean is, something unique that only a valkrie could do. Maybe shes got a flying horse back at the ranch? jk

What kind of fae is she exactly, and what powers does she have? Some people on this thread said she was a "Valkry," but I couldn't find that type of fae on the website glossary. You'd think if that's what she was it would be up there.

I haven't decided whether or not I like her, mostly because I don't know much about her. I need more info! How about some background, flashbacks, etc. Something! Did I miss the episode where they told us anything about her?

Valkyrie. In Norse mythology, Valkyries were Odin's handmaidens who escorted the souls of dead warriors to Valhalla. The most famous is the shieldmaiden Brynhild/Brünnhilde, who appears in several stories, but is more popularly known because she plays a crucial role in Wagner's "Ring" cycle.

Tamsin is so awesome, 3x06 ramped up her awesomeness rating by about a thousand. Before, I didn't really think much of her character one way or the other, I pretty much saw her as a little bit annoying, but with some potential to distract Dyson from Bo, thus protecting Doccubus (who I like), so she was more like 'tolerable' than anything else. After that episode though, wow, I just can't describe how impressed I was, and I really want to see more of Tamsin, especially Tamsin and Bo. They did finally give her a power all her own, and while I wasnt really a fan of the whole 'ugly face' thing, the power itself was really cool, she completely owned Dyson and there wasn't anything he could do to defend himself, that's impressive stuff. I guess using that power must drain her to some degree, as we saw a bit of her hair fall out after she used it, so she probably won't be using it all that often, but it sure was cool. As was her chemestry with Bo, just fantastic, I know they had that moment earlier in the season, but it just seemed like a fun one-off sort of thing. Now however, after seeing them together again, this time as their 'normal selves' as it were, and seeing their chemestry as strong, if not stronger, than ever, it makes me want to see the two of them together a lot more. At a minimum, Tamsin can become Bo's new feeding partner, and if they were to become closer than that, if she were to replace Dyson in the triangle, honestly that would be fine by me, I'm just so impressed by Tamsin, she's obviously the best 'new character' the show has ever had (as in, a character we didn't see in Season 1), by far, and I can't wait to see what she does next! My personal hope is that after crossing the Morrigan to save Bo's life, she chooses to follow Bo into the 'unalligned' camp, that would definitely be cool and interesting, and draw the two of them even closer together.

I am totally loving Tamsin. After the Kenzi Scale episode I am now fully convinced that Tamsin and Bo should definetly cozy up to one another throughout the season and from now on. I wouldn't mind seeing a full blown love triangle between Bo, Lauren, and Tamsin. After all Lauren maybe has 50 to 60 years lifespan and well Tamsin looks like she can go on for quite awhile. I'm not a big fan of Tamsin hooking up with Dyson. I think Tamsin is wayyyyyyyyyy to head strong and doesn't enjoy playing the helpless female act. Lauren maybe Bo's succubus candy but Tamsin hmmmm would definetly serve as an occasional deviation from the nerdy but very hot Dr Hotpants.
Can a Sweet Sweet Succubus ever really be monogomus? Valkubus all the way!

Tamsin had me at Valkyrie. I love having another strong and intelligent female on this show. And she has great chemistry with nearly everyone. Nicely done, Lost Girl casting people.

dark and light are just labels they've put on themselves to justify their actions. it gives them a reason to sqabble between the groups since they are hidden from humans. to paraphrase from my favorite author, laurel hamilton, and her meredith gentry series, both sides spill blood, and the dark are just more open about what most of human society considers bad behavior.

to answer the question, all fae would be subject to distrust by people because they are different. prejudice is ugly. trust should be based on actions, not labels. i would like to think i would give her a chance to be a friend. so dark, or light is meaningless, fae is what would be the thing that would make me wary.

then again, no matter what side she is, i would not want a valkyrie ****** at me.
