I can't be the only one out here that can barely contain the excitement of seeing the grizzly space-weary Colonel? Pictures? Anyone?

At first I hated Tigh, because I liked Starbuck and he was a pain in the butt. Which is really a sign of how good an actor he is, because he convinced me that he really hated Starbuck.

He's grown on me since, and I really love his character now. I think the first time he made me laugh out loud was the "if we had a couple of lemons, we could make lemonaid" line in "Bastile Day". He plays a great drunk. Which I think is really hard to do. I've seen other actors try it and look totally stupid. He nails it perfectly.

So now I enjoy his little war with Starbuck, and he's become a big part of the reason that I love this show.

I am a big fan of the new Tigh character, and Michael Hogan.

They are an AWESOME addition to the show.

This scene impressed me because someone very close to me is an alcoholic - maybe Tigh is, I don't know. But what I do know is that scene. Everyone around him is giggling because they know he's "tigh-ed" one on before coming on duty and his mood is really good - these are the same sorts of highs and lows (and the lows get very low, as exemplified by his character) that I have to live with. It's comic on the one hand and sad on the other - bittersweet if you will. I don't know of many other shows that have dealt with the complex nature of alcohol abuse even in small scenes such as this one.

This Colonel Tigh is much more interesting than the boring yes-man that Terry Carter played. Not Carter's fault, just a ho-hum character.

I guess being a drunk myself, I appreciate this new Tigh.

This old boy is aces with me. I hope they keep him complex and I hope he snaps that smirk off of stardoe's face.
I hope he keeps drinking too....

Alright, so if you've seen "Tigh Me Up" you've seen the wife. The plot thickens. Was anyone else surprised by this array of unforseen emotions by our hero, the Colonel?

I was really impressed with Michael Hogan's acting in Tigh me up -Tigh me down episode. I never really liked the character only because he was shown either as a grumpy old man or a drunk. This last episode really shows his acting ability with a much better script for his character. Once again a show with great writing and great actors under good direction. I hope they give Tigh better scripts in the future too.

Agreed; I thought a tremendous amount of depth showed in the character in this episode; his unflinching loyalty to Adama, his deep, tender love for a woman he *must* know is flawed. . . nice stuff.

As to the wife. . . as an army brat, all I could think was, "Wow. No wonder he never made anything higher than XO." *blink* The other wives would've haaaaaaaated her. . . .

How about a wallpaper? The XO surely deserves a walpaper, even though it is a bit rough. Just like him I guess.

Tigh is great. Gotta love the wise cracks and dry humor. The new Tigh is also the perfect compliment to the new Adama. Beats the heck out of the original 1 demensional Tigh.
